Orient M-Force Watch

Updated on August 26, 2012

The Orient M-Force is a High Quality Diver's Watch

Want the perfect gift? Here's why you should get the Orient M-Force watch. Check it out in and see how it compares to other diver's watches.

Stylish, attractive, and rugged, the Orient M-Force dive watch is a pleasure to use and to wear. The Orient M-Force's large face joins forces with the luminous hour and minute hands to offer a watch that is easy to read. It also comes with a power reserve meter for the most precise timekeeping, since it allows the owner to wind the watch before it stops. The stopping (or "hacking") second hand makes it even easier to set the time as precisely as possible. There is a date feature as well.

Stainless steel construction and sapphire crystal make this a watch worthy of coveting. The bezel offers a smooth rotation to help divers see, at a glance, how long they have been under water. The Orient M-Force can survive the water to depths of 660 feet, ensuring that divers can go as far as their adventurous spirit might want to take them.

What a Great Gift Idea!

A watch is always a great gift idea, and many people would love to get one of these. If you've been looking for that perfect gift - consider the M-Force or one of the other watches below. I am sure it'll be very much appreciated :-)

There are several Orient M-Force Watches to Choose From - Choose the color and style that's right for you!

The Orient M-Force compared to the Casio Men's IBV Sport

The IBV is a best-seller, but does it stack up?

The Casio IBV, a best-selling dive watch, outranks the M-Force by a considerable margin on Amazon.com. One reason might be the price. At $400 to $700 the price of the Orient M-Force reflects its considerable quality and the pride that’s been taken in its construction. By contrast, the Casio IBV can be had for just under $20.

The Casio IBV can only make it to 330 feet, half of what the Orient M-Force is capable of handling. It is made of resin and looks pretty cheap, making it difficult to compare it to the shining stainless steel of the Orient M-Force. It’s definitely an “economy” watch, something that does the bare minimum of what a dive watch is supposed to do. Of course, if $20 is your price point the Casio IBV may indeed be a good option. However, if you have more to spend it quickly becomes apparent that having a “best seller” status can be pretty meaningless.

What about the Invicta Pro-Diver's Collection Dive Watch?

Is this one a better buy?

The Invicta Pro-Diver’s Collection watch is another best-selling dive watch. This one does a better job of stacking up to the Orient M-Force than the IBV did. For one thing, according to the specs, at least, it matches the Orient M-Force for depth capability. It also has luminous hands and stainless steel construction.

It’s smaller, however, and the bevel can be much more difficult to turn. There’s also no power meter to warn you of the possibility that your watch is going to stop. Some users have also reported problems with the water-resistant feature on the Invicta. Reviews have noted watches that got water damaged during the course of normal water activities, like showering. Ultimately, the Invicta is more of a look-alike watch that doesn’t offer nearly as much quality or luxury as the Orient M-Force, proving yet again that a Top 10 spot can essentially be meaningless.

Alternatives to the Orient M-Force - Because everyone should have the dive watch they prefer!

Luminox Men's 3001 Quartz Navy Seal Dive Watch
Luminox Men's 3001 Quartz Navy Seal Dive Watch
If you're not looking for luxury but want the 660 feet capability and rugged performance, the Luminox Men's 3001 Navy SEAL Dive Watch is a pretty good choice. In terms of price it rests neatly between the two best sellers and the Orient M-Force, while offering a wide range of features and, of course, the prestige that comes from being the choice of the SEALs.

Are you a diver? Do you just love these watches? Which of them are you going to buy? Will they be for you, or for someone else? Tell me all about it!
